  • Oh lawdy, that's a moist-maker.
    8^p~~~

Where can I get a washing machine like that?!?:lol::lol:

Congrats eric, it's a beauty!!! Now let's hear that baby!
  • Very nice Partch! Definitely worth the wait! :):)
  • Nice Partch, at first glance it doesn't look like a strat cause of the colour and no pickguard, but that is one lovely guitar. 8)

p.s that is one big washing machine
  • SAAWEEET :!:

Now thats a fiddle you can jam for a lifetime. Great wood on the back too.
    I love that roller nut!
Thats what seperates the men from the boys A HIGH QUALITY NU...
:? Wait a min that sounds bad let me rephrase that :!: :lol:
I really appriciate a well taylored nu... :x ...well you know what I mean  darn it
from these pics you can see the attention to detail. ebony fretboard or rosewood?

    congrats

    Money well spent.
  • Hey thanks Danny! Yeah it is an Ebony board. Realy that & the FMT Top was why I waited almost 4 months for. I could have had virtually the same guitar minus those 2 things the same week I wanted to buy the Strat. Man I'm glad now I waited!! 8)

TOTally. Chances are this is a git'r you'll have for a long time, so waiting to get the exact right one is well worth it. If I were going to spend the bux and get a really fine git'r, I'd do the same.
    And I LOVE ebony fingerboards...
    8p~~~
  • most definitely on the ebony fretboard. I had a Carvin with an ebony fretboard and that thing was like butter.........DAMN I always kick myself when I think of the Carvin that I used to have :?
  • wow that thing is nice...How much if you don't mind eric?
  • $1429 Whorth Every Penny!! Guitar is a winner & most deffinetly will be with me forever :D This is deffinetly a forever kind of guitar! just awsome!! Love it more & more everytime a play it!! This is just a tad above the JS as far as quality. & as far as Tone man I love this thing it can truly do it all clean to metal drop tunings etc.. Now I have not tryed any lower than D which is a snap! Almost as stable as the JS as well 8)
Anyhow just thought I would share some thoughts after having & playing Live etc.. for a month with this being the Number 1 :D 8)
  • Awesome. I wish I had acquired some of my \"lifetime\" git'rs when I wasn't too young and stupid to know it.
When I think about my '72 strat, I weep. When I think about my cherry '72 ES335, i wallow. When I think about my mint '68 ES355, I wanna jump off a ledge. :(
If I divulged what I'd paid for ANY of these fiddles, any one of you would book a flight for the sole purpose of slapping me silly. I'm ashamed just to think about it.
  • Eric do you really like it better than the JS? I bet the neck isn't as fast but then again the js do have a strat type of neck ...speaking of the radius.
I'm glad that you are enjoying it...was it made in the US?
    God bless

Any strat that costs $1500 bux better be made in the USA. Or perhaps come with Anne Hathaway's cell-phone number.
  • Yeah it's a USA. From what I understand this is the highest Level \"production Fender\" They do. Much of this guitar is Identical to things of Custom level! Well it depends Garry as far as liking it more than the JS? it's not so much the playability that sets it upas much as Tone, & inspiration this thing just pulss things out so inspiring to play! Each time is a new journy 8) :D As far as the speed issue? I sure can't play either one any faster. I'm not realy a Shredder & I can't notice much if any difference in the necks SOOO Similar. The biggest difference in the neck IS the Fretboard! This guitar has Ebony which I like quite a bit better than the Rosewood! My Ovation has Ebony as well. 8) Anyhow on the other hand for a positive on the JS I can't Imagine a guitar being more compfortable than that Sculpted Basswood Body!!! Just Awsome 8) Although I digging have more guitar on my shoulder! It's just feels more substantial Just something to it! I'm digging it! Not a Old Les Paul Tank BUT deffinetly got some guitar there! 8) :D
  • Hey eric
I'm glad you like it. I played a js 1200 the other day. Very NICE ...and only 1400 bucks. way outta my range..I'm lucky if I can buy strings these days. Anyways it's a beautiful guitar. God bless you bro

    paul
  • Hey there Partch!

Well its been a coupla months since you got your new Fender and I have to say its a doll of a guitar - congrats man! :D Thought I would ask how the new axe has been treating you so far - an update so to speak! I always notice a few little changes once a guitar has been played in a bit. Have you had any issues with it at all?
  • Yeah it's still Awsome! I love the guitar so many great tones in that thing! Deffinetly not as bright as you might expect a Strat to be BUT I still Love The Tones. It's very Stable guitar almost as much as the JS. Won't take the whammy Abuse & stay in perfect tune like the JS BUT normal to moderate usage has no effect on stability. It eazy to Drop tune at least to D I have done that several times back & forth without a glitch 8) Could not do that with the JS. This guitar screams for a Fender Tube amp with using the controls volume rollback etc.. touch dynamics soft to realy digging in & getting breakup Hence my search for the NEW live rig Fender tube amp etc.. I do have to agree though bout the S1 switching I find that I almost never engage the S1 switching. I think the standard 5 positions covers it 8) mostly. Anyhow I seem to like this guitar more & more the more I play it! I'm sure once I get this thru a tube amp live it will be Tru Tone I'm deffinetly excited about that quest for pure Sweet Tube Tone! 8)
  • me likey bursted flame tops :D:D
  • Money well spent indeed.

    That's an awesome piece :Dbiggrin.gif
