Mike: Just as Shredd says, but allow me to share my experience as it may clarify a bit more. I was playing out of my Palamino V32 class A tube amp. Sweet little tube amp and records really well too. At the larger clubs, I was using a 100W Line 6 Duoverb, but then I got a gnx4 and thought I was adding to my power amp set-up with the endless supply of patches that the gnx4 provides especially when I bought guitar3456's patches. Trouble was, I was driving myself crazy trying to adjust my amps to fit with the gnx4. I never got there and it never sounded like it did through my headphones. Just before the band offically changed my name to mudd cause that's what I sounded like, I discovered this forum. I quickly swithched to powered monitors (thanks to these guys and their advice) and now play with a stereo set-up on stage. It made all the difference in the world, my sound is back and better than ever, I didn't have to change my name and everyone lived happily everafter.
