Self-Appointed Savior
Well, here is my second song creation on my GNX4. It is quite different from my first. This is what happens when I write songs when I'm mad at the world
No main solo yet, I am hoping to get the lead guitarist in my band to lay something down for me soon. In the mean time, here it is.

I am especially happy with the drum track. The power of the ProTracks drum creator is astounding if one is willing to put in the time to really work with it.

I must say Cephkiller you did a good job at capturing that anger! I could really feel that emotion. And I really liked your mix, I will have to listen to it again, It was driving me nuts. I just couldn't place it , but I liked it!
Really caught me off guard when the song started. LoL For some reason I just wasn't expecting that, But I was like .. oohh this is nice , made me sit up! Good job.
Second song .. eh.. So how are you liking this gnx thingy mahjig? Sounds like you have the hang of it! Which is a good thing cuz I want to hear more offerings from you! thanks for the post.
man o man, I wish I was the lead guitarist in this band. There's so much room to move in this song. I just can't get over how much you remind me of Ozzy.
Rock is one of the hardest types of music to master in the studio. Everything has to be big, clear and powerful. You've done an excellent job capturing the correct attitude for the song. Like you say, just needs a sizzling guitar solo and some fills...presto, you have a hard rock/metal classic.
2 thumbs up!!!
The vocals mostly, but the music sure doesn't stray far from Ozzy's style.
If you've seen Ozzy live in a smaller venue, then you realize his vocals are heavily produced on his albums. His real sound is very similar to yours.
Naturally, he has more polish or pe-zzazz...but he's also been doing it on a super pro level for decades.
I can't be the only one to hear Ozzy in this song
(vocals need some EQ maybe....other than that, great tune!)
The lead guitarist in my band, Bryan Figg, came over and recorded the solo for me today.

Actually another band came to mind, The Skyhooks. It's hard to find them but the vocals sure sound similar.
