Song \"Everything\"
I've never posted a song here (actually just found it) and was hoping to get some feedback on my song \"Everything,\" recorded with Gnx4 preset 17 Blackbass tweaked a little through my semi-hollow with a VST (FA3 full) set to tremolo going in and out. For the bass I used a guitar2bass tweaked patch from the patch site and my semi-hollow six string. Vox through the gnx4 with AKG precision 100.
The drums are Cakewalk midi and my thinking on this tune is the drums are a little tin sounding and there is not enough low end.
Anyway, that's enough, I'd appreciate any advice or opinions.

The drums are fine if thats the sound you were going for. If not then you might experiment with a different kit in the cakewalk software, if thats possible. I don't know much about that particular program, can you go back and change up the kit after the fact?
Anyway good song, i like it, and welcome to the forum. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
The tremolo guitar was a great idea for the song. I found the drum track a little thin but as I listen to the song, they do work. I might bring them into the mix a little more. The bass seems good, a little punchy in some places and low in others but much of that is dynamic so again, it works.
There are nights I feel like listening to hard rock but , on those quiet nights when I don't feel like being bombarded...I would hope to find a club playing this type of material to keep things grounded.
Unique, soothing and interesting. I liked it. More production time would certainly be recommended (as usual) but I think you have a solid song with a lot of feel.
That drum sound was kind of what I wanted, but when I listened on my mp3 player and in the car they sounded a little thin. Yes, Tucopeat, I can run those midi drums through another kit (I use Session Drummer2) and that's actually a good idea, thanks.
Buzzhaze, actually the bass was two takes, the second with the treble rolled up, and near the end where it gets punchy(or crunchy) I thought it sounded good and left it in as a sort of change up. I think you're right though, there are parts where it needs to be up a bit.
Thanks alot for the feedback; it's hard to find a forum where people will give you their opinion without ego or attitude getting in the way. I'll be hanging out in this forum more often.
Thanks again,
Anthony
