You really just need to work though the manual. In case you didn't get one, here is the link:

    ftp://ftp.digitech.com/pub/PDFs/Manuals/JamMan_manuals/JamManEnglishv2.0B.pdf

I find using the external footswitch helpful, as I can just go to a new patch if I am not happy with a first take. Then I just simply erase the CF card at the end of the night, and its ready for looping next time I need it. As far as getting the timing right, its just practice. If you want to do an 8 beat loop, for example, start tapping your foot, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. You would start the loop on the downbeat of the one, and end it on the next down beat of the one, not the eight. If you end on the 8, the loop will be out of time.
  • thanks Phil...getting to grips with it...my manual is poor...your link just shows a blank page??...how is the weather in Texas!! ian
  • Hey Ian,

The weather in Texas sucks. Its summer in San Antonio. High temps are around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and this time of year we generally get an afternoon thunderstorm that can produce a hailstorm or even a tornado.

As for the manual, right click on the link I posted. Its an FTP link, so it has the document for download. When you right click, select Save Target As, and save the file to a place on your computer where you can find it. After it downloads, double click on it to open. You'll ned to have the free Acrobat reader software installed on your computer to open it.

If you are using a Mac, follow the same procedure, except use control click instead of right click.
