Cowgirl needs a Poke
Ok, so I sit down with the intent of working out some psycho/rockabilly type stuff. Then the next thing I know, Jim Beam shows up! Enough said!
The following is the results of what happens when Jim Beam crashes your session! LoL

I used a factory preset I believe it was 41 .. picken? The rythmn, ( which didn't come out to good in this mix ) and the first 2 solo's? Were done with 25 yr old fender approved Seth Love design humbuckers ( last thing he did if I remember correctly) installed on a Fender L3. The slide and last solo? ( which I didn't do right, cuzz each succesive solo was suppose to build up. But I wound up playing the previous one. ( Jim was taliking to me! ) To lazy to redo it right? ) Were done with 47 year old stock Fender single coils installed on my strat. Hence the buzz/hum at the beginning, All guitars were done on factory prest 41
The bass is a fender squire P-bass. And I really don't remember LoL But I think I used a Sun amp model.
But it's a good tune, and the slide work is real good. Love the Tele sound.
Nope! It's an all original 61 strat.
And thanks, appreciate it! Now if I can get Jim to come back over, I might be able to recreate it!
I bet Quentin Tarantino would consider it for one of his films. It has that strange, eerie 60's sound. What a guitar sound!!! I have an American Vintage 70's series strat but it won't give me quite that sound.....NICE!!!!!
Gotta get me down Hwy 61
You know that's funny! The next day when I was listening to it ( without Jim around ) I was thinking just that! Really. That it sounded like it would fit into a movie sound track. Not a Quentin Tarantino flick, though that would be cool 8) If you see him tell him he can have it!
The whole gist why I posted was that I thought is was funny that I started out in one genre and wound up in another! When I went to bed I thought I had some terrific licks to send to the Rev. Horton Heat, only to wake up to find that I had some licks for Buck Owens!
let this be a lesson for all you young axe slingers out there. If Jim Beam shows up at one of your sessions, Kick him out immediately!
Well now I know I have a sound that some one likes, if I can only figure out what purple elephant I am doing on the fret board then I will pack my bags and head for Nashville
Thanks Buzz and everyone for the positive replies
P.S. Its to good for Buck lol
Thanks swallace! your all to kind! I know I am guitarded, so you can't hurt my feelings. But the positive replies are encouraging, Thanks..
But it is nowhere near what your Dad has left you!
Anthony
Antony - Hey bro. thanks! I have no problem with it. Glad you enjoy it!
If Jim comes back over ( he don't come around to often ) Maybe I'll try for a extended version!?
Thanks , It's a deal!
