'Til Death Do Us Part

  • Nice job man! That was a great first effort! Was there a few female harmony parts in there? The GNX4 loop you used fit the tune well. Mix sounded pretty good! Your certainly no noob to all this are you? Did you write the song? Lyrics? Take care. Hope to see more in the future!
  • I'm not a noob, no. I have fooled around with recording for quite a while. I'm just a GNX4 noob :)

    Also, I am 100% responsible for all music and lyrics creation and performance of the song and the \"female\" harmonies was me as well. My kids got quite a kick out of hearing me record those! Especially since I was monitoring through headphones and that's all they could hear at the time, LOL. They thought I was crazy. I said it would all work out in the mix, but I'm not sure they believed me.
  • Lovely. Lyrics are terrific, a touching sentiment. Hope the wife liked it!

    Make the kids do pushups. :lol:

    I concur! 8) 8) Thunbs up mate! :P
  • I remixed the song and I think it's much better now. I decreased the bass, brought up the backing vocals a little and added some stereo effects. Of course, a song is never really finished for me, so I may again update in the future, especially since I am on vacation for 17 days and I have no real plans :)

    I know the feeling! I call it the Axle Rose syndrome. Just have to draw the line at some point. :shock: :lol::lol:

    First try at a post, Since the \" incident \"
    Yea! it worked!
  • Now that you mention it, I am just about to finish an album I've been working on. It's called Japanese Democracy and it should be released any day now!

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:
  • The song is very good. Nice melody and lyrics. You might consider dropping it down a tone so you have an easier time singing it. You are maxing out your range in a few spots. The backup tracks are octaves right? Maybe try using 3rd's or 5th's. They will fatten up the sound when they come in. ( I think I'm some sort of producer so just ignore me :)

    You're on the right track. Your song writing is strong as well as your sense of melodies. Great work. Once you get more comfortable with the new equipment, you will sound even better.

    I would like to hear more

    No offense taken. Although I enjoy praise as much as the next guy, I have found that one can learn much from one's critics. Your comments are appreciated as much as anyone's. Thank you.

    P.S. I like your stuff.
  • Sounds awesome man really nice
