Here's another... nJoy, or maybe not ... ThinLine-RufKut-02

Here is recording #2. Just another straight jam. Set a drum track, laid the bass line and then kicked in the guitar. Some mistakes, but this is all from feeling the groove of the drums. Crank it up for the best effect. Might be a little intense for some listeners.

And as always thanx again for all the comments!

  • Man nuthor cool one emesis! 8) I think your playing is great!! How long have you been playing since you picked the guitar back up? Does not sound like you missed a beat! Keep em comming!! Good Stuff!! & you do have plans to take these rough cuts farther? Do you write Lyrics & sing? I know you play Bass. Just wonder were these Ideas may be going in the future? It's neat to hear others stuff go from concept & Rough cuts to complete polished song with everything!! 8) :D
  • Good stuff. While I'm not particularly interested in really metallic music/playing, your chops are good. I think it's great that you've got a GNX, as it'll really help you develop your recording and songwriting. And it's fun.
And chix dig buttons that light up. 8)
  • Thanks

Partch....It's been about 3 months since I started up again. Yes I plan on refining the rough cuts, they were just the basic idea of what I felt at the time. Right now I'm just turning on the GNX4 and going with the flow of a drum track. I'm not really sitting down and trying to write a song, but that will come later. Currently I'm just getting used to the unit and having fun.

Shredd....I'm going to write a \"purty\" song just for you bro

    Take care guys......

  • Another good one. Just off the top of your head playing, wow, great stuff. I just started about a year ago after a about a 15 year rest. You know, Marriage, kids, responsibilities, etc. I still have wife--anniversary is Sat, 18yrs and never had a fight(yah, right)and kid is 17 and self involving with friends and such. But great to have you back in the saddle, its a great feeling huh?
  • Cool....yes it's great to be playing again but things have definitely changed. It's really easier to get your stuff out there, compared to 10 or 15 yrs ago. Which is cool but there are a lot of good players out there.

My 14yo Daughter lives with me and I'm attempting to bring her to the dark side  and get her away from that Rap Crap. Trying to get her to listen to something with actual music in it instead of sampled tracks with someone rhyming :x geeze that stuff sucks! I got her to like Evanescence and Flyleaf so she might be coming around. She's going with me to Iron Maiden at the end of this month, so maybe she'll learn to appreciate real musicians!
  • Well Iron Maiden put on a great show as always. A few $9.00 beers  and a couple of $8.00 shots of Jager, the perfect 70 degree weather and hanging out with friends made it an great night. Daughter woosed out so I had to scalp her ticket at the gate. 8)
Some info that I thought was cool, the lead singer Bruce Dickinson flies the band, the crew, and all the equipment in a modified 757 called \"Ed Force One\" to all the shows. I personally find it pretty amazing that these guys are in their 50's, 'cept Bruce he's 49, and still doing all these shows and having great energy on stage. Plus flying their own 757 to the shows, it's pretty impressive. Or maybe I'm just easily impressed.

  • emesis, good to see you had a good time and to know that Iron Maiden is still rockin'. Speaking of ages, The guys is Judas Priest range in age from 53-56. It is hard to beleive sometimes just how old these guys are. Of course you have the elder ones like, The Stones and Zepplin that are in their 60's.
  • Sounds great. pretty smooth for a rough cut. Can't wait to hear that refined out!!!!
  • Hell yeah Priest, Got my tickets for the Metal Masters tour on Aug. 27th. Judas Priest, Heaven & Hell, Motorhead, and Testament. Can't friggin wait!!

Thanks for the comment Swallace1...it's appreciated.
