Got any info?

This is one I didn't include in my other pics. (basically not worth including) But I got to wondering if anyone knows anything about this name?
The only info my research dug up about this name, is that they made violins. But I could never confirm if they delved into guitars. My best guess is that this guitar is around 60 or 70 years old.

So if anyone knows anything about this name or knows where or how I can find more info, I would be most interested.
Thanks

  • Yamaha Music Corp use to be known as \"Nippon GenGakki\" or fine japan instrument.they made many instruments with their name and others,....specifically stores that wanted their own brand name on them. This hollowbody jazz guitar looks very close in make and quality to the Nippon GenGakki instruments made in the late 40's and early 50's.

    hope this helps :D
  • Why thanks cyclonic. That is interesting, I will be doing some searches on them nippon folk.

Also interesting is that I wasn't aware that we were importing stuff from japan that soon after the wwII. Late 50's definately the 60's.
