World Music song from GNX

Here is something I made, this is my first post, and I would be curious to hear any feedback on it. Its all live instruments through the Mic into the looper. Djimbe, Bodrhun, Dijiridoo, Andean Flute, Cymbals, Chimes, Wood Blocks, and Violin. Then I put it on my computer and lengthed the loop and cut out parts of the tracks, converted to MP3.

Note, not Rock and Roll at all. It would be great to meet some more people into making World Music, Funk, Regeae, or just plain off the wall stuff.

Well hey that is very different. Interesting! I think the mix & recording sounds good & clean! I also notice you called it Emperor? I think you captured that feel or atmosphere that would be there in some cultures when the Emporer is riding in! 8) Festive Feel! Good job!! & keep posting I would like to hear more of your style! It's always neat to hear the talent of others in styles that may not be your style or heck maybe never even realy heard before!! 8)

Thanks you guys, the mix sounding good is a testament to the machine. I didn't even use headphones, so each subsequent track was picking up the input from the PA. The ability to create a live loop like that (its only a 3.5 second loop), then drop it in the computer and adjust the levels and cut stuff in and out, is an amazing feature of the GNX. And the ability to keep adding to the track is super cool. For instance I did the violin about 7 times in 2 different octaves in one track, so it sounds like 7 violins playing together.

I have some other stuff on the mypage link in my sig if interested. It was mostly recorded by the OBR hooked to a vocal mic in the corner of my basement jam room. And for what it is it (one mic recording one track of a room full of people) sounds great.

I love those kind of recordings. It sounds very native. If you were to add a little bit of verb to those drums, they'de be smokin'
