Want feedback on my SusieQ Patch - GNX4

I posted a GNX4 patch for CCR's SusieQ, has a cleanish channel and a lead/solo channel. I believe I got it down good.

This is only the second patch I have posted, so I would love feedback as to whether you find it sounds good, did it load ok, any issues at all with it.

Most of all, do people want more patches like this? I find there are some big name groups not represented in the patch community (Eagles, Cream, CCR, Steely Dan, Sheryl Crow, Who, vintage Neil Young and others) which I am going to work on when I can.

Knowing how my patch sounds to others will help me refine my equipment to post better patches. Thanks!

I haven't gotten to try out the patch yet, but I encourage you to make the kinds of patches you mentioned; these are all great sounds.
On the other hand, I'd advise against tweaking 'til your brain hurts...you gotta remember that we all have different git'rs with different pups, different amps and sound systems, and of course different ears and tastes for tone.
If I were me, I'd be happy with a good starting point that I could tweak to my own liking. 8)

    Good point, Shredd!
I sometimes find myself agonizing over trying to get the tone 100% exactly like the recording but that's nearly impossible for the reasons you stated.
I need to remember that the whole point of playing the guitar is to HAVE FUN!
BTW sabedavo, I'm looking forward to downloading your SusieQ patch!

    That, and groupie-groping.
  • Well-put. I seek to please my own ear first, then yours if it happens to!

    But I wouldn't post a patch if I didn't hope it made somebody's day, so here's hoping.

Let me know how it sounds. :D
  • Well, guys (if anyone reads this at all), took a second look at patches I have posted under the name Walnuts and realized I had the speaker comp settings wrong on all of them.

Therefore, I am updating all of them and making them a lot better. Got a fresh perspective on them and will post new patches soon - for those who care about this. :?

Seeing the number of patches posted slowing down out there. Hope that is not a trend. :(
