Desperately seeking a female - vocalist??

But this post is actually about vocals...I have this kewl country-chick song I've recorded...it's all done, it sounds great, but it clearly requires a female vocal. I tried it and it sounds like a man singing a woman's vocal part. :? Not that I'm any stellar vocalist anyway.
And I can't seem to find anyone to sing it...a friend who sings well can't find the time :roll: , a singer I know with FABulous pipes is also too busy and lives too far away to stop by and do it, and the last woman I approached at an Open Mic nite who sang beautifully seemed convinced that I wasn't asking her to sing on a recording, but rather to be my next axe-murder victim. :roll:
