Problem connecting Genedit to GNX2
Previously I was running a W2K install. The only quirk was that I had to have the GNX2 turned on and connected to my computer before turning on my computer. Genedit was able to transmit and recieve like it should.
I have a new instal of XP pro SP2. The GNX2 will send signal through my interface (Steinberg Midex8) to Genedit. The \"out\" port on the Midex will flash as if Genedit is trying to send a signal to the GNX2 but it appears nothing is received.
Since this exact setup worked before on the W2K install I am confident that everything is connected properly. I have tested all the cables (multiple times) and confirmed everything is setup properly. I have contacted Digitech support and they suggested I install .NET 2 (which I have). I continue to get the message that no device is connected and to check my Midi connections.
I'm out of options. I'll take any suggestions.
Thanks,
Easto

Everything has been checked and rechecked. When I run Cubase I'm able to send Midi to and from the unit. When starting Genedit I can get the Unit to send Midi but it is not receiving anything from the software.
I have tried enabling / disbling the Midi drivers in both the Midex 8 and Echo Audio Gina including rolling them back to previous versions to see if they will work.
With my previous install under W2K there was on quirk which required that the GNX2 be turned on before booting my computer. It would not recognize the GNX2 if the GNX2 was turned on after the computer had started.
Thank you. As stated above I have already tried that. I've even done a full reset (losing all my patches) hoping that might do it.
This is really pissing me off. When I run Cubase it recognizes it and sends midi both in and out. I'm really at a loss.
