What's going on in my exciting young life? Well...
Dates? Don't make me laugh. The last woman I went out with was the uber-hottie blond I met at last spring's All-Star game; pretty, friendly, smart, good job, owns a home (a VERY big deal where I live), and hott as all get-out. Sadly, it didn't take very long for her to decide I wasn't interesting enough to keep seeing. Can ya believe it??? :roll: I guess I wasn't ugly, rich, weird, abusive, or unavailable enough to capture her interest... :?
Music? Well, this town is pretty small to form bands, and everyone is into so much other stuff that even rousting up a jam is pretty hard to do. So I'm still playing with myself. :shock: :shock: I mean...BY myself. The good news is that while I haven't made time to put any real effort into songwriting (dam job...), I'm managing to play regularly and I'm in the middle of recording a cover of a country-chick song I really like. Gotta find a girl to sing it though, it's DEFinitely not for a male voice.
Meanwhile, I'm continuing with git'r upgrades...the PAF Pro's I put in my Ibanez sound aMAZing (I wired them for coil-splitting, and they sound just as great that way...); I'm putting a Trem-Nut graphite nut on it to try to ease the tuning problems I have with it (it's a hardtail). If that works out, I'm going to part with my Jackson. I'm also VERY proud to have cut a bone saddle for my Dean acous/elec from a blank, and it came out PERfect. 8) I'm going to put a graphite nut on the Dean as well...anybody want their kitchen painted??? 8)
My \"studio\", while still housed in a spare bedroom, has really evolved; Besides my new sweetheart (http://www.guitarworkstation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5790), I've recently acquired a killer Behringer vocal mic, upgraded my mixing board, and with the other stuff I've picked up over the last year or so, I'm able to record in the fashion I want to, despite having no vocal booth or anything near the space I need. My music room looks like a bomb went off at a G/C.
Hockey season has started, so I'm having fun and feeling my age. Same every season...then again, there's guys in my league in their 40's and 50's, so I can't hardly complain about feeling old.
My employers (who own the house I live in) still won't let me get a dog.:evil: This is gnawing at me and I'm having to balance that against the worth of having this job, which is pretty sweet, despite what I have to put up with to have it. More than one - LOTS, actually - of my friends, colleagues, teammates, etc - are suggesting that my bosses' wife isn't getting her \"fill\", and that I should make an effort there, and perhaps improve her attitude. But I'm pretty sure if I were to suggest any such interest, she'd beat me with a stick, tie a rock around my neck, and throw me in the river to hide my body. Too bad, she's AWfully hott.... :roll:
I'm pretty sure the only thing my bosses' wife has for me is utter contempt; I'm a \"necessary evil\" for them and if her husband didn't realize my importance to them, she'd sink me in the river.
Now, I know you all are in tremendous awe of my amazing rock n roll artistry :roll: but the fact is, I'm not \"rock star\" enough to make a move on her. I value the integrity of my flesh too much.
I'd gladly enjoy a visiting hottie, if I could get one to come here. Chances are she'd love it here, and I'd sure make an effort to keep her happy! :twisted:
