:? Some fly, some don't. The sad part is, I am a slow typist, and try not to Diss my ed. level with mis- spelling, typos etc. :? So it takes some time to compose some of my \"Messin' With Shredd\" posts, :P and be witty w/o Violatin' the PARAMETERS o' the Forum!! I lost some GOOD \"UNS to the P.E. Monster. Next time I'll print out a copy. For a while, I couldn't post anything, so I tried the Fender forum' to see if there was some glitch with my puter, or IT provider. Maybe, I'm inadvertantly Triggerin' somethin' with my mouse, while correcting my text?? :? O yeah, the error messagem said De-Bug somethin--.
If it said something like debug, it sounds like a software error, not an issue with the post. There is nothing in the forum software that would prevent a post because of content. That's why we have moderators. 8)
Give you an example, of something we fixed recently. Posts with single quotation marks in the subject would result in an error, I believe when moving. This only affected moderators. Why? Because the single quotation mark is what encloses the values inside the SQL query, therefore the quoted text was terminated early and resulted in a syntax error. Why it was happening for just that particular function, I don't know. So it's important that we actually see what caused the error, otherwise it's nearly impossible to reproduce.
I had the same problem every time I tried to reply to the post regarding having to modify the 'Supermodels'. When I actually read the debug code, I realized it didn't like the fact that the original subject line was being quoted in my reply. I didn't actually put it there, it just appeared when I selected 'reply'.
I still can't recreate the problem. I just tried every type of quotation in subject and message body, and it posts replies just fine.
Sorry... if you run into it again, could you make a note of the parameters? Subject line, message body, board you're posting on, and whether it's a reply or a new topic.
Strangly enough, :? I ran into the Problem today, and Remembered [ A minor Miracle, When ya got OLDTIMER'S!] what ya said about the Quote Marx, I think they were singles. in the Subject Header line. I removed the Cyber-Politically Incorrect Marks, and the Post FLEW. A shame I lost 2 or three others, cuz if ya thought the Messin with Shredd #3 was Humorous, ya should'a seen the ONES that GOT AWAY!! Oh Well, maybe it's all for the BEST!! :? I'd HATE to be RESPONSIBLE fer STIFLIN\" the Lad's CREATIVITY!! :P Geezer Rock Rules! 8)

If it fails again, can you e-mail me the text of your post (e-mail link below)? Sometimes there are bugs with certain characters involved.
Also, next time please copy/paste the entire error message?
Thanks.
