Digitech Legend II - question!!

I know I'm talking about a specific product but anyway...I hope someone could help me...

I'm a guitar player btw.

As I possess a ENGL amp I want to use both, the straightforward sound directly from the amp, but also sounds from the digitech legend 2 during. How do I have to cross-connect the amp and the legend2 to be able to switch sounds during playing (via footswitch)?

Get an A/B box, run one output to the amp, the other through the legend to the amp, use a Y cable on the other end and you can switch between them.
