I tried this with a forumite from Australia, a year or two ago. It works marginally well - and I'm about as far from Australia as it gets.

I noticed that when jamming online with more than two people, you get a lot of dropouts. You really need a lot of upward bandwidth to get it to work.

There is also dedicated client/server available to do this efficiently. However, the computer running server needs a ridiculous amount of upward bandwidth.

There are guys here who've posted some great tunes by recording, sending eachother their sound files, and adding to them. That's worth trying-

I just recorded a track and i'll post it for anyone who'd like to download it and do a lead break over? That might be a fun little experiment?

I'll let you know when it's up....

P.S. it may take a while.. none of my other mastering / effects software works with vista neither... typical huh...
