Need Some Help with a patch conversion problem....

I'm trying to convert a couple patches from GNX 4 to GNX 3 but every time I try it I get the same message...


CONVERSION FAILED

The <Version> tag from Namespace http://www.digitech.com is not...

And I can't see what the rest of it says...


Anyone know how to fix this?


I've tried everything I could think of...

The GNX4 patch is a simple XML file. Open it in Notepad, or any other editor, and find the beginning tag for version (surrounded by < & >) and delete until the end tag (surrounded by <\\ & >).

Then it will convert.

Ok I deleted the Version Tag...

Now I get...


Conversion Failed


There are Multiple root elements line 2, position 4....

If any one figures it ourt please let me know how to get them to convert...I get the same thing with alot of the newer GNX 4 Patches when I try to convert them

I just converted the patch with no problem.

Here are the steps I took:

1. Opened the 80smetal.g4p in Notepad.
2. Did a search for the version tag ( <version> ) which placed me at the 1st instance of the tag.
3. Highlighted the version line and copied it to the clipboard. (CTRL-C)
4. Selected Edit - Replace (CTRL-H)
5. Pasted the version line from the clipboard (CTRL-V)
6. Clicked replace all.
7. saved the file and ran the patch conversion utility.
