Error message when I try to open a preset from the archives

Hi,
I downloaded a preset from the patch archives, and when I tried to open it with X-Edit and when I tried to load it into my GNX4 I got the error message that is the subject line of this post.
\"The <Version> tag from namespace http://digitech.com is not expected\"

The patch has these data:

04/13/2007 GMoore Gary Moore kbauer

I tried opening the file as a text file and changing the first few lines of code by replacing what was in the GMoore patch with the heading lines of another patch which does work properly. But those changes didn't work.

If you know how to make this patch work properly, please let me know.

Thanks!

  • Try the new version of X-Edit, 1.3 from Digitech's software page.
  • Thanks, that did it! With the new 1.3 OS and a downloaded X-Edit 1.3 I was able to read and load the GMoore patch into my GNX4. I don't recall if I had updated the GNX4 OS before. I'vehad it for about 2 years now. They process was simple once I read the \"Important ReadMe First\" instructions about how to install the OS into the GNX4.
    Thanks!

p.s. Too bad the new OS didn't fix my no-compact-disk card-reading problem (the GNX4 won't go into record mode or read any of the mp3s on the disk). I'm probably going to have send out the GNX4 to a dealer to get it fixed.AmericanTV.com seems to be the closest authorized repairer in my area (I live in IA and AmericanTV has a repair facility in Wisconsin).
