POSTED: MORE New GNX3000 Patches

I posted some new patches I made for the GNX3000

Talent - Billy Talent's Ian D'Sa - \"Fallen leaves\"
DieHard - Def Leppard's Phil Collen - \"Die Hard The Hunter\"
Sawyer - Rush's Alex Lifeson - \"Tom Saywer\"
Sanctury - The Cult's Billy Duffy - \"She Sells Sanctuary\"
PullClean - Dream Theater's John Petrucci - \"Pull Me Under\"
Vanama - Eddie Van Halen
HevySoul - Collective Soul (Ross Childress)
King's Love - Ty Tabor (King's X)
SlayMe - Slayer
The System Has Failed - Megadeth

You can find them with some mp3 samples here:

*** Note: These patches are created with my GNX3000 plugged into the FRONT of a crate power block amp and a marshall mg412 cabinet. I always have the speaker emulator turned on even though its plugged into a guitar amp because it takes the so-called fizz away.

  • Ive downloaded the Vanama and Slayme patches im going to try them out later.

The preview MP3 makes them sound like there worth it tho. Good job make some Dream Theater/Metallica patches :p
  • Thanks!

I just made you the clean sound from Dream Theater's Pull Me Under.

Sorry bout my playin'. I chose to use an Ibanez PGM-300 that has dead strings as you can tell by the sound of the low E...

2moro I will work on the Rhythm/Lead patch for that song.
  • Any chance of doing a nice Rush (limelight/tom sawyer) or Iron Maiden (trooper/aces high) patch?
  • This is going to sound like a REALLY stupid question but in my defence, I've just got my GNX, I'm not good with computers and the handbook that came with my GNX tells me very little about Xedit. I thought I might try a few of these patches to replace a few of the more obviously awful ones that came standard. I clicked to download and then clicked to save so it asked me where I wanted to save it to and I was foolishly looking for Xedit that I couldn't find. Do I need to start a new folder for downloaded patches and if so, how do I then load them onto the GNX? Each patch seems to have an amp model on channel 1 and an amp model on channel 2 as well as being warped to some degree. If I save the patch, does it automatically save all 3? Actually, it might be easier to ask if there is anywhere that I can download some good instructions on how to use Xedit?
  • You can save the patches anyware on your computer, So yes make a new folder i have one on my desktop named \" Patches \".

After you download a patch make sure that X-Edit is installed on your machine as well as your GNX3K. Once you have confirmed this double click on the patch you would like to load and x-edit should boot up and \" temp \" load the patch to your device.

Play with it tweak it etc etc if you like it and would like to save it to your device then look up in the top left hand corner of x-edit there should be a bunch of buttons ( file,Help etc etc ) click i bealive its file and select save preset to device. Follow the on screen directions.

If you would like to load another preset jsut drag and drop the preset into x-edit and it will do as the first patch.

    Hope this helps ~.^
  • Soundscape, Your patches are absolutely amazing.

Great job and thanks for the ones you have put up, I look forward to downloading useing more of your patches in the future. Keep um coming! \\m/
  • Thanks for that, I'll give it a go. It sounds fairly straightforward so even I might be able to manage it.
  • Soundscape, Your patches are absolutely amazing. Great job ... \\m/

Thanks for the props. Much appreciated. I have made an excellent Def Leppard Pyromania era patch and will be posting it as well as a Rush \"Tom Sawyer\" patch this weekend.

    Cheers!
  • Dude, this Tom Sawyer patch is unbelievably good. I heard it through my key board amp and it sounded great. But once I heard it in stereo through the earphones, this baby takes the cake. I was playing Rush riffs all night.

Also that Slayme kick's serious *ss. I especially like using the expression pedal to get the harmonizing sound.

These 2 patches have quickly become my favorite patches in my digitech arsenal. Thanks brother, for posting them.
  • Thanks again! The positive comments keep me motivated about posting more patches I've made.
  • Soundscape, if you ever have the time, how about doing an Iron Maiden patch that sounds like Aces High and if you could do the same thing like you did with the slayme patch where you can use the expression pedal to make it sound like harmonizing guitars. That would be so f ing sweet.
  • I just added a Billy Talent one. The spread spectrum works well for this tone. Unfortunately I just can't seem to get the right amp sound. Gain is a little fizzy....I'll blame Digitech ;-)
  • I love your patches!!!

    Thanks for sharing!!!
  • I hope you all enjoyed my patches and
    Thanks a lot!

Sorry but I've just sold my GNX3000. I will not be back. My allegiance to digitech is gone due to poor software and hardware technology upgrades. From the GNX3 to the GNX3000 there was no significant development.

I recently bought a Roland VG-99 and POD X3L and they are both Superb to the GNX3000.
  • Sorry to let you go. I took a look at your new devices and they sound pretty good. I used to have the GK2 but I gave up couple of years ago!!!

    Keep rocking!!!
