TOO mangled to post - wanna help??? SING!!!
Hi all. For those of you who don't like to read (or can't? :shock: ) the bottom line is - I need someone to sing.
Here's the gist. Since I still haven't written a full song I like enough to put recording time into, I'm still \"mangling the classics\". I started one lately, and old Beatles tune that I just love. One of G Harrison's finer moments, I think...anyway, it's \"If I Needed Someone\", from Rubber Soul.
So I start with the usual basics - drums, bass, rythm, yada. I finish all the instrumental stuff. Then I started doing vocals...I don't need to tell you what happened.
But I will...they were SO awful - worse than my usual pitiful mewlings - that I just knew poor ol' George was turning over in his grave.
SO...I bagged the tracks with the vocals, mixed it without, and am pretty happy with the result. NOW, I want someone that can sing worth a dam, or at least sound like the boys, to take my little backing track and do the vocals. There's some harminies to do, but nothing brain-frying.
