LOVE my new 2031A's

As y'all know, M/F has been having some real problems doing business lately. Or at least getting my G/A/S stuff to me within a tolerable time span.
But...I FINally got my Behringer 2031A's today, set 'em up, spent a few hours listening to various stuff to tune them to the room...
And now they sound absolutely golden. KILLER speakers. I'd recommend them, although most with more bux than I will end up with Mackie's and such...but I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with these.
That said...who amongst you is interested in picking up some of the gear I replaced with them? I've got Nady cabs, Furman 31-band EQ's, a Nady 2 x 150W (or 300W/bridged) amp, a Behringer 1202FX. All like new w/boxes/manuals/etc. Good deals on all. Just don't tell the wife. :P

  • Congrats Brother,

I've had mine for about a year and a half, they are an incredible deal for the money, great buy!!!

Now, you can imagine how good I feel about my atomic reactor when I actually prefer to play through it than the monitors.

I'll send off a threatening letter to MF, and make sure thay smarten up

    Peace,

    Dobb.
  • 8) Far Out mannnn!

I've had mine also for over a year now...and they ROCK.

You will enjoy these, and I think they are a great choice.

You should get yourself a Russian mail order sound checker, to help you
place them properly...and  help you polish your rig.

Thanks Dobb...good to hear from ya! ALTHOUGH, I'd much rather see your return address on a FedEx package with on of those HOTT Canadian women in it.
PS I konw how to do polls, and I'm so disgusted by your son's caoch that I'M going to set it up, and see what happens. As for my opinion - despite the fact that the guy's a slob and needs his butt kicked by SOMEone, I think the thing to do is whatever gets your son away from the coach - either find a new team, or find someone who can make this guy NOT the coach. Good luck...

I really like MF, I've used 'em for a long time, good deals, good policies, etc. But this warehouse mess is so bad and has been going on for months...I've been emailing and even calling them almost daily about some of my orders...they're hearin' it from me too!!! (for what it's worth...)

I totally love 'em, and it's only been two days. AND I got them for $219!!! :D 8)
Sooooo where can I get me one of them there lovely rig polishers?
  • :D That one in the photo is Alice. She is a Trucker friend, and owns her own Truck Company, out in sunny California. :D 8)

Holy Cats. You KNOW this woman? Any chance she's single, likes tall guys, and trucks through WY ever???
  • +1 behringer 2030As rewl 8) too :!:

Thats what i am listening to right now - Behringer 2030a's!
  • I bet even if I got the 2030's, I'd love 'em. The sound on my 31's is so clear and uncolored...I'm sure they'll be fun to play through, but when it comes to actually recording or mixing stuff, that's where they'll really shine. Can't wait!
  • I haven't been using mine all that much, but this thread has me blowing the dust back off them. Really were dusty too. Thats the thing...I'm set up in my bedroom, and I leave the windows open when I'm home. (Truck Driver) It's really time I set up a nice Studio. I have this huge house all to myself...and 3/4's of it is not being used for anything. I feel like Forest Gump.

I think speakers like these would work best in a more open area...or a sound room. To be honest...I bought mine only on the reviews I heard here...that these work well with the GNX units. I never compared them to any other Brands or sizes in the store. I got mine over a year ago when Musicians Friend was having this huge sale on them. The price was so low...and we all thought this was because the item was being discontinued for a new version.
But I remember paying more than $219 bux! How the hell did you do that? 8)

Alice is more the LeAnn Rimes type...I'll haveta ask her if she likes Rush.
I know she is really \"into\" big strong men...and I don't think there are many in Southern California  :lol::lol:
  • I feel your pain, 'tou...I also have my \"studio\" set up in a cramped little bedroom. Unlike you and Forrest, tho, I HAVE no other place to set up. :? I got my 2031A's also largely on the recommendation of guys here; I hadn't even heard them yet. But they're similar enough to the setup I had, and MF offeed one of those smokin' deals that just forced my G/A/S-riddled decision-making cortex into action.
And I think you're right. They'd sound best in an open room, or at least against a flat wall, and at minimal range. My little room makes the bass come out, and I had to adjust for that.

And your pal truckin' Alice is a babe. Hott blond, owns a biz, AND can drive a rig? 8^p~~~~
I don't even care if she likes RUSH...as long as she won't gripe about me listening to it. I'd even listen to a LeeAnne Rimes song, if it got her in the mood. I'll polish her rig any time! Maybe she hasn't met my type yet...I'm not a macho-man, but I'm no Cali wuss either. (altho if I were a hott girl, I wouldn't be into CA wusses either. Present company excepted?!? Easy, guys...)
And - more importantly - how do I get her to pose for pics like that for me???
