Finally got the new guitar

:roll: Well after looking for a long time, and playing several guitars, I put a new Washburn, HB-35 in lay-away today.

Zach, at the Music Store, in Garland, Texas, offered a very fair deal, so I took the plunge.

    VERY nice. I've always had a subtle appreciation for Washburns...had a W 12-string back in the day that i thought was a dam fine git'r. The one you're getting looks tasty...hope you got the natural. The flame is gorgeous and goes great w/the gold h/ware and bound f-holes...make sure you tell us how it plays/sounds, and post something for us to hear!

    I did forget to mention it is the red one. The picture on the Washburn homepage does not do the flame top justice. The guitar is very pretty, and it will probably be October before I get the balance paid off.

    Shredd, I also have come into possesion of little Tascam 4 channel cassette recorder. So I guess I am going to start tinkering around on that to get a feel for this recording thing.

    Welllll...I'd have got the natural, but I didn't haveta pay for it, so you get to choose!!! Still a nice git'r, tho...
    Good for you pickin' up the little 4-track...you'll find it rather limited, but on the other hand a very good intro to the concepts of multi-track recording, without dealing w/all the complicated workings of the typical modern digi-corder. Once' you've grasped the fundementals, you'll be ready to move up to something heftier. Here's a pic of my new baby (and my new Tascam 2488, as well :lol: )
