It depends what room you are in, what you are using the monitors for. If you are monitoring music to get a good mix, you might NOT want to get the sub. This is because what ever your monitors have, your mix will lack. So if you have better-than-average bass reponse, your mixes will sound tinny on other systems.
However if you are playing guitar through them then I would recommend it.
was at the store and the guy said that the krk rp 10 s sub is much more accurate (whatever that means) than the 2092a, which is more like a \"wall of bass\". anyone have a comment on that? anyone used the krk's? would it match well with my 2031a's?
well this is interesting, i emailed krk the question and this is the (whole) reply:
Hello,
Go with the behringer unit.
Best Regards,
now the only problem is as usual, us Canadians got hosed on price - I have to pay $360C for the 2092, which it is $230 US in the US. C$ is now almost at par with the US$, but I have to pay 50% more up here! Someone middleman somewhere is making a shitload of coin.
2092's can be a wall of bass! So can some others if not set appropriately. You want the sub to reinforce, not over-do like subs in car systems. KRK is fine too. Not quite the beast (size/weight) as a 2092A.

You wait till you come to Australia, then you would quieten rapidly... soooo expensive....

it makes sense that it is expensive in oz due to transportation, small population, etc. my point is that the C$ has increased 50% relative to the US$ in the past 5 years, so just based on the currency movement, goods imported from the US should have decreased 50% in price to keep things equal. transportation costs are a bit higher, so call it 40%. but no, as far as i can tell, prices have barely moved. so someone somewhere is pocketing the dif, and we're paying for it. unfortunately, MF doesnt seem to ship tp canada anymore, nor do any of the others.
Stop griping. The high cost of goods and services in AU and CA and countries like that is compensated for with the abundance of lovely and classy women you have, compared with the US, where women often have an inordinate sense of entitlement and unrealistic opinions of themselves.
And - for what it's worth - I play my GNX, and my entire mix, including bass and KB - through my 2031A's, and they sound amazing. Full response, even with the bass...though a subwoof would surely sound great and satisfy my insatiable G/A/S cravings.

Ha. In my town - NO music shop of any kind. It's M/F for me; the nearest music shop of any value at all is in Denver, and that's a full day's drive.
Wow ! I gues I'm lucky to have www.theguitarfactory.com .... like 5 mins from my house! .... but
BUT
they do NOT carry any fenders! they used to keep the stuff that ppl brought in to sell in their old shop which was across the street and wayyy smaller, but they moved into the plaza and went all high class and I hardly see even used squiers in there ... to me, that sucks. So if I want to check out some Fender *anythings*, I have to drive like 30 mins to the closest Guitar Center.
they have one of those 20TH anniversary Jems in there tho ... i should bash on it and break a few strings ... no big deal right? lol
