Gsp-21 Pedalboard

I have an original GSP-21` that i have used for the last 17 years in bands that I have been in. I have upgraded it over the years and recently i found on a website a Legend upgrade Eprom. I installed it and it does work but made the GSP do some quirky things like asking me to store a patch while just scrolling thru the presets. I know this might be a battery issue, so that I will change. My problem is that after installing the legend eprom and reinitializing the GSP, the footpedal is working in reverse. It works as if the top of the pedal switches were the bottom row and visa versa. Has anyone experienced this while upgrading the eprom? It is still usable but there is just a new learning curve to use the footpedal the way it is now.

  • Did you do the factory reset procedure after the upgrade?
  • Yes I did. But it did not seem to work. I think that the problem lies in the chip. I bought the chip from someone online and cannot confirm the veracity of the chip. the main unit is working fine now ~ it steps thru the programs okay, it's the footpedal that's a little funky now. Worst case scenario, I get a chip from digitech ~ they can still burn one the rep said.I'm wondering if the person i bought the chip from sent me a Legend II chip (that unit comes with a footpedal and it is different from the original footpedal).? The version on my Legend chip is 2.10
