I'm glad to hear a sound guy say that - I done gone n got me a pair. Gonna replace my Nady MC-8's in my studio with them. Are the 2031A's a better stage or studio speaker, or equally for both?
I wouldnt use them on stage because:
They are a studio monitor
They would be broken quickly
They would not be loud enough to cut through like a 4x12\"
They would be laughed at.
I would use them in the studio because:
They have excellent frequency response
They have good stereo imaging
They have low noise
etc
Thanks 'hoot. That's kind what I had in mind...I think my little Nady's will be good for stage and/or small venues. I'm probably gonna keep them...
I just wanted to be srue that if I use the Behringers for studio use, that I won't blow them up putting everything through them - KBs, bass, git'r, etc.
You cant blow them up - they have limiters. I have the smaller sized pair the B2030A's and they are magnificent. They are very very loud - certainly loud enough for most studio situations. 8)
Welllll...since I decided to keep my 'binez (and now have 3 git'rs and a bass darkening my little \"studio\") I decided to xcel my order for the 2031A's, since I already have a Nady setup in there...guess the Nady's sound good enough for me, and didn't want to have to find a use (or a new home) for them if I'd picked up the Berhingers.....but oh, how I love new gear, especially when it's a good deal!!! 8)
