I find editing my GNX a pain without X-Edit, and I'm wondering if any of you guys are brave enough to take a laptop to gigs. If so, any tips on how to avoid getting it smashed/stolen?
It's usually a bit late to do editing at a gig. Plus, if you actually do editing on the GNX without X-Edit at rehearsals, you'll get better at it, and then having a laptop at gigs will seem like a pain.
I take mine to rehearsal , when using a new patch or if I have changed my setup(amps and cabs etc). I have brought it to setup for a gig, but after that I always stach it in my truck. I think you\"ll find that once your setup and have completed your sound check your pretty much done with it.

I have no idea how you would prevent smashing. Perhaps a softbag/case thing
