ESP Guitars

Does anyone out here know why ESP (not LTD) Guitars are so much more expensive than top of the line Jacksons, Ibanez... I have a Jackson made in USA SLH2 with a nice curly maple top, (3A I think) and a cherry sunburst finish, ebony fretboard, neck thru, and a floyd and I think I payed $1600.00 brand new 2 yrs ago. I see some sweet ESP's twice the price and it seems that they are made of almost the same materials. W.T.F.? :shock:

Sorry I don't have the answer for that. But hearing about that Jackson you've got is getting me moist. :shock: Need to have it babysat for a few years?!? 8)

Did a little ESP shopping myself...seems like the really high-bux ones are sort of the designer/signature models...after that, from about 1800 down, is more ordinary git'rs.
So how 'bout letting me babysit that Jackson for a while while you enjoy your new ESP???

I hate ESPs. Vile guitars.
They are expensive because it makes the artists who play the signature models feel like a big man/woman because their signature guitar is out of reach for normal people, whereas they can afford one each gig.

8) The reason esp is more exspensive is that yes there are mostly signature models.And no they are not vile guitars.I have a James Hetfield signature Explorer and I tell you what,I love that guitar.

ESP's are comparable to most in the Hi end side. Look at the prestige series and Jemz! Then PRS.. it's a top of the line guitar and fetches a price as others mainly USA made.
