New GNX3 Patch!!

I posted a patch I was asked to make for someone here in my town..It's a DIMEBAG patch. It seems to cover his career pretty much...I tested it along with 1 song from each Pantera album then along with a couple Damage plan tunes..Needed some MNOR adjusting for the Damage Plan stuff but it was pretty close before that..

  • I think it Rocks Steve!! As all your patches 8) You obviuosly know what your doing :D
  • Thanks Partch I'm glad you like it...I was surprized when I ws making that patch how versatile the sound of it was you can really get alot out of that patch with just a few minor tweaks to the mid section eq..

Thanks again for checking it out and the comment...
  • This is another cool patch. Hey Steve, is this one meant to be warped from the red and gr channels? I found it sounded best when I hit the yellow channel in Genetx. Maybe its just me not knowing as I've never posted a patch, but I've noticed that some patches when I upload them open in either the rd or grn channels but sound best in the yellow. Is that something thats intended or if you did warp them does it not stay preset when its posted or downloaded?
I guess where I'm going with this is, that sometimes I sit down and try a bunch of patches that are new and usually they dont do much for me. Lately checking out all these new great ones by you and Jack ,is when I've noticed this. It makes me wonder how many cool patches I blew off :)
  • I usually pre-warp all mine and save them as a new amp the load the created amp as it's own channel..It's really up to the downloader how they want to use the patch we just post them..What happens from thee is completely out of our hands...If what eve amp I'm making is made by warping rather than saving the patch with basically 3 distortion amps or 3 clean amps I'll warp them them save the amp as a hypermodel then I have 1 channel of the amp then I start making the other channel or channels.Techniquely you can actually make 6 channels for any given patch..:

    1.Clean
    2.Dirty
    3.Warped
    4. Clean with Compressor added (to amps that have a lil crunch to them like Bass Man) will give yo a lil more cunch..
5.Dirty Channel with stomp box depending what type of dirty sound you want you can really change things..
6;Warped Basically the same as (5) add the stompbox to it ..or the compressor or just an effect or something....
  • Cool , I undertand it now. I've revisited those I mentioned before and you're probably right. They sound good as is but different things sound good to different people and there are a few I like when I warped them. These patches have been great!
How about a good ole' Boston patch.?I heard \"Cool the engines\" the other night and that tone is killer.
  • I'll check out \"Cool The Engines\" tonight after the wife goes to sleep..See what I can come up with..If I come up with it I'll post it for you..Glad you like the patches..Take Care
