Thanks Jack..
I'm working on alot more...I'm trying to make atleast 10 a day..I post the ones that I get finished..And keep working on the others..
I have to do a few artist patches for a couple different people then I'm getting back to the amps..Normally I don't make artist patches I usually just find out what gear they use and Create the Amp then add Fx or whatever...But when someone asks I'll usually make them for them..
10 a day , that's a lot of patchs. I was doing about 5 a day when I was building the ones for my CD. They are more work than people think. I was doing artist patchs for peeps with the RP50/80 , lol-check out how many I did, and those are just the one's I posted , dude I did 400 of those.
However you\"ll find some of the artist patchs if you just try to build a amp model and then add the effect's that ya hear or you read that they are using , that it sounds real close but , somethings not right , it's because they are using more than 1 type of amp or that it's a studio cut where they many be multitracking and using several types of amps.
Thats's a lot of patches 400...With the arist patches I usually check out their touring gear any info I can find on what they used in the studio (If someone wants a patch for a certain song)...Then I'll create each amp seperately and start a warping process till I come as close as I can..
Usualyy I can get them pretty close it's just the work that takes time..Especially ehen making artist patches...The amps are fairly simple but when you're trying to get someone elses sound you have to really find out as much as you can before hand..
lol-yeah I know I worked on them for a long , long time. I haven't posted or gave away any of the finish product I put on the CD. The one's I post are drafts. The artist patchs , I started doing them kinda like that , there is a website , you may or may not know about here is the address : http://www.guitargeek.com , it's pretty for that. What I do now is I won't do just a general patch of an artist , if they want I patch for a song I\"ll give it a go but I do it pretty much just from what I hear these day's. Oh I don't know if you do this or not but give it a try and see how it works for ya, I plug the GNX into the line in on my computer , I do this because any amp you use , any amp colors your sound , even a PA or a home stereo for that matter will , but a computer the sound that comes in goes out. I find that real usefull in checkin to see if the patch is correct.
Yeah I use Guitar geek too..But there's alot of artists that people want that they don't have listed..I also go line in on the pc whenever I'm making anything..Either that or I'll use head phones..
