Anmyone out there ae guitar hero fan? I'm getting it for 360 as soon as i bloody find one lol i've been checking the stores religiously and nothing's came! argh! Anyone got one?
I don 't have mine yet, but like you I'm waiting to get my hands on one. I played the demo unit the other night at Best Buy... and it's lots of fun. It has nothing to do with really playing a guitar, but it's fun and the songs are cool!

I think it does have a little to do with playing guitar. I find playing guitar hero to be a great warm up. It's very good for working on your dexterity and alot more fun than a finger exerciser. It also grades your rythmic accuracy which is kinda nice. I find my playing to be alot tighter since playing alot of GH. Lastly, I think that while there is no tonal validity in playing a GH guitar, it is certainly great for brushing up on your chops rhythmically.
Btw, I don't have guitar hero 2 for the 360. I still play the good ol' ps2 version.
Well being that I don't have mine yet my only frame of reference is the time I embarassed my kids playing it in Best Buy. :-) I'm planning on getting it soon, but every store I try is sold out right now. Must be one of the hottest games out right now.
It would be cool if you could order custom artist's tracks to play with. You know... the Steve Vai / Joe Satriani collection. Now THAT would definitely be a warm up... even on the \"easy\" level! :-)
Not much action in this thread... but in case any of you are interested there's an open source project out there that is a lot like Guitar Hero and supposedly you can plug your XBox 360 controller into the USB on your PC and jam away. I haven't played with it at all but it sounds cool... http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/
If anyone has played with it I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Yeah i got it alittle while a go and it really is a good warm-up! Lol It'll kick my ass at songs i can nail on a real guitar, which is a strange position. Almost beat it on hard, and I am significantly better than my non-guitarist brother. Fun stuff!
