how to attach an acoustic guitar strap?

my acoustic doesnt have a strap knob (?) on the neck side of the guitar, just the bridge side. how do i attach the strap to the neck side?

If you remember what hooch means, you tie the lace around the headstock under the strings just behind the nut.
Otherwise, you order a strap button and put it into the back of your neck heel.

I replaced the strap knob on the bottom with a strap-lock knob. I then put a strap-lock knob into the bottom of the neck (where it's level with the back of the guitar). It sits like an electric guitar (more like a Gibson SG).
