Most likely what you are looking for would be a Digitech 2120 Artist VGS
However people usually buy Preamps and FX separately for better flexibility. And the Reverb unit always stands on it's own too.
A lower price product that would do the work will be LINE6's POD Pro. And there even is a lowest one - Behringer V-Amp Pro.
What's in my list of the must haves are:
Furman power conditioner
KORG rack instrument tuner
Digitech 2120 Artist VGS (2 of this)
T.C.Electronic G System
T.C.Electronic TC2290 Dynamic Delay
Carvin Tone Navigator
Eventide Harmonizer
YAMAHA REV100
and after all these, you may need a truck to move them around~ XD
well, im looking for basically a gnx3000 in a rack unit w/o all the amp and cab models. I just want straight effects and a tuner. I was looking at the tc electronics g-major. Has anyone tried one?
I was using G Major before the G System came out ~
and before the G Major there was G Force in my rack set up ~
Well... imo three of these units have their own target customers.
G Force is for professional guitarist especially those who always stay in studios. (Sound : 10 out of 10, TC standard)
G System, which has a floor control board, is for serious players who wants both high qulity sounds and flexibility of floor units. (Sound : 8+1 out of 10, 1 is for the build in 2290 function)
G Major is for those players who do not need \"professinal pricing\" gears, and just want to have an easy set up at home or garage. But still, it is made by T.C.Electronic, and it sounds just like what T.C.Electronic should be. (Sound : 6 out of 10)
I have an old Art SGX Nitro, and that sound like what you might be looking for. It doesn't really do the amp modeling it just chains effects, and its a rack mount unit. You can pick them up cheap on E-Bay. It operates with a midi foot controller, and works pretty well. It's not the most user friendly piece, but it has nice tones.
