Rampage

I thought it would be interesting to create a jam that kind of goes along with my sign on name, so here is what I came up with!

I used three diferent guitars and three different settings for the guitars on the GNX4. It didn't turn out to bad. You can play along with it and create something my elaborate if you like . Hope you like it. Enjoy!

Rampage Good name John John is on the Rampage :P No seriously bro I like the simple Power Chord Groove that runs thru it good base to follow & do some things. BUT the other things going on there are kind of like doing there own thing?? I think the Lead/Melody should follow that groove better & not sound like it's just doing it's own thing? Just my opinion John. As well question for you. What do you normally play for your lead melody tracks? As far as you know scale position etc.. You might want to try & mix it up some? Alot of times not all your stuff sounds like your just doing the same things over & over & even from song to song like your in the same scale positions running the same notes with the same kind of Articulation etc.. Don't take this the wrong way or anything But I think you need to kind of move around a little to different scale positions try some different scales in your soloing try a couple different in the same song etc.. Also work on phrasing realy try to say something think of it exactly like talking to someone. I mean how do you speak in sentences & such just talk in one continual string. i just think trying to work some of this stuff into your playing will greatly improve yourr already very good Skills 8)

Partch, This jam is based on my sign on name \"Rampage\". I came up with \"Rampage\", because I am on a \"Rampage for the Lord\" that is how I decided on the name \"Rampage\". As for your thoughts and comments using different scales and so on, well let's just say- I play what ever comes to mind, be it what ever scale, chords, leads or whatever. I can't ever read one note, nor do I know the names of the scales I use, or the name of most of the chords I play. I learned what I know by simply watching other musicians playing, going home and practicing what I say them doing and then over the years trying to put together what ever came to the heart. Also, I have listened to many of your songs and it has come to my attention that you might consider applying some of your suggestions for me to your own music. We are all different and have different styles and ways of playing and expressing what we know. Some are schooled, some are self tought, some are just learning and some are born to be cridics. I just play from my heart and enjoy what I play, because my playing comes from the Lord - based on what I know, which is nothing. That which I play I share for free because I guess that's the way the Lord would have me do it. I don't know how to do alot of real fancy stuff, I'm just for the past 6 months getting into all of the software creative stuff and I do thank you for your imput. I hope that the Lord willing as I learn more He will allow me to share more advanced songs with more leads, riffs and what have you. I'm 58 years old and I thank the Lord everyday for the gifts He has given me to just be where He has me doing what I am able to do today. It is enough for me to just be blessed with that. I believe we are lucky to be able to even express our thoughts through our music as it is truly a God given talent to be able to play an instrument. I hope you don't take this wrong but judge not less you judge your self first. I work to improve myself everyday, as should we all. Please profect your music then please help me with mine. I can understand and already know my music is simple and basic to some and to others - who knows. The one thing for sure is it's not about me ever and always about the Lord. Just let me know if you enjoyed the song or didn't enjoy the song. That alone tells me where I need work. Hey sorry John! It certainly was not intended to Judge you or put you down I think your good have a great heart for God & that is aceptable to him regardles of your skill level or musical educated level. I just tried to give a couple of suggestions to help you improve & to work on. I mean I do take not only what I said to you to heart for my own Music & post's BUT what others including you have said I always strive to Improve!! I'm well aware I'm not that good!! BUT listen to Abide in Me 1st take & listen to What Happened Final Mix or even the Wonderful Cross most recent post. I have come a long way & I will not stop until my Body Drops God deserves my best & he will get it
