Synth/Electro Sound

Does anyone have a synthy sounding guitar patch or a guitar patch that sounds electro like? I've been playing around with the envelope filter but i just can't get a good enough sound. If you have a patch can you either upload it onto the sound comm or send it to me please . Thanks in advance

I made that one a while back. Its envelope filter based, so it might not be what you want.

You can do this with several things:
* Envelope filter (as phil did)
* Synth Talk
* Ya-Ya
* Wah (full range)

The first two will be based on how loudly you pick. If you make settings for attack and sensitivity correctly, you'll be able to trigger a synth-like effect by picking harder. Ya-Ya will be based either on expression pedal or LFO (or with Auto Ya). It's less synth-like. Full-range wah is almost exactly like an envelope filter but gives you considerably more control - you will also trigger how it sounds with either expression pedal or an LFO.

You could also get creative and assign a parameter such as sensitivity to the expression pedal. This way you can decide when you want the synth effect and when you don't. You might also consider using a pluck gate to create smoother synth-like effects, with either envelope filter or synth talk (keeping in mind the attack parameter on the effect itself).

Thanks for the tips and patch, unfortunatly the patch isn't quite what im looking for, what I'm looking for is like a more electronic sound if you know what I mean? I shall try playing around with the envelope filter and synth talk and the other stuff when I next have some spare time.

Have you tried playing with the \"garble\" audio filter in Pro Tracks?
