Tasha Looks For Love

Hi all - here's my latest \"effort\". It's a cleaned-up version of music I did for a movie scene I imagined.

It sounds WAY cooler when I imagine the scene in my head, but hopefully you'll find it listenable anyway. I was inspired to do it 'cuz of the killer tunes posted by kirkbauer1, who I think is insanely talented and should be writing music for movies.
Anybody know any Julia Roberts-lookalike movie producers I could bribe to get this into a movie?

  • Man I like what you did to this Shredd very interesting tune all the way thru 8) It's nice to hear some new stuff from you!! now this is that Idea you were inspired by the Cinemax Adult Movie?? I think I vagely remember some of the ending the rest of it all sounds like pretty new Ideas? Anyhow keep at it Shredd I always enjoy your post & playing & yes even singing when you do that
  • Hey partch, thanx. The ending's not from the previous bit - I just wanted to come up with a softer ending that reflected what I thought was happening in 'the story', and that's what I came up with...put it together in about 30 minutes. It's the jam part that I had to put time into to get right.
But the music fits the images perfectly, as they're very vivid in my head, but none of the movie producers I called are calling back. :?
  • Shredd, cool tone on the lead guitar. Liked the driving background rhythm too. But I really like the way the intro builds up, just before you come in with the main lead do I detect something like an acoustic lick with a slide?

I have listened to this several times and am trying to imagine what kind of scene you had in your mind. The only thing I can picture in my mind is Sandra Bullock riding a camel across the Sahara desert. Is that what you had in mind?
  •:lol::lol: Exactly - of course, after I'd slathered her with suntan oil and tied her bikini...:lol::lol:
No...actually, it was a scene I imagined, where the lovely young Tasha is lonely and wants someone to love her; she's out at night looking for \"him\", only to find the scary mood of the big city makes it hard to tell between what's real and what's not. Lots of neon flashing, 'men of ill will' ogling her, that sort of thing. Looks great in my head; the music is perfect, but I don't know if it conveys anything to others who aren't seeing it...
And the trippy lick is actually a loop I had of a sitar-type thing...so I didn't actually play that part...
Meanwhile, I'm working on the music that's there in \"the next day\" scene. I don't know if that'll convey anything either, but I could make a dam good movie if only Tri-Star would call me back... 8)
  • Hey Shredd, I kind of saw that movie in my head to only the scene was a little bit different. You were chasing this woman because she had dropped something out of her purse and when you finally caught up to her and gasping for your breath and explained to her why you were chasing her she could thank you enough and you looked into each others eyes- and that was all it took and you fell in love and lived happily ever after. :D

Maybe I got it a little off but it went something like that! Great Little Jam!
  • I could live with that. Especially if it's the Tasha I see in my head... :D
  • <div style="displaynone">fiogf49gjkf0d</div>Hey Shredd

That was really good! Loved the guitar solo playing and the sound you got. Awesome playing.

Liked the acoustic at the end as well.

    Great job

  • Excellent stuff Shredd.

I like your tunes alot man 8)

I see you have moved on to Andrea Corr from the Corrs, much nicer than Ms Hurley IMO :)
  • Thankx 'slash.
Yah, Hurley's out of my life since she went and married that rich gwat from India. Rumor has it she's pregnant too. It's like she never loved me :cry:
So yah, Andrea's my new face around here. She's talented, cute, single, and has a groovy accent. Gotta get her #.
Glad you liked the tune...it seems to be 'going over'. Funny thing too, 'cuz it's music I set to a scene I purely imagined. I'm currently working on music for a segue of the same scene. I dig it 'cuz I see the scenes in my head and the music fits perfectly, like good movie music should; since everyone else only has the music and still likes it, I guess it's OK!
  • :D That was great :!: I liked mood to that song and I liked all the diffrent keys and bass grooves very KEWL! :D
