Rampage (theguitarplayer) - Garden Of Gethsimane

New Musical only. This one fades in and fades out. You may want to set your volume all the way up first. Depending on your system and speaker set up this shouldn't be to loud for any setup.

This is my rendition of Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsimane prior to his betrayal. You have to place yourself in the moment with this musical rendition and be there!

I think I have this one pretty well balanced as it was to loud at first and the fading in and out made a lot of difference in the mood I was trying to capture. I hope you enjoy this one better than some of the others that I have loaded.

  • Alright John good job buddy!! I realy enjoyed that!! Very emotional playing there 8) I almost for a while thought that this was just going to be guitars & Synths till that loop kicked in. Honestly though I did not mind the drum loop in this one once it got started. You do use that same loop over & over don't you? I still would like to hear some mix up from song to song not go away from your sound BUT just make each song there own not borrowing this & that from another song but all Original Ideas & each song :D
  • Partch, You seem to be my most posted cridict and I guess that's OK!Does the song or musical mood touch you or move you based on the title of the piece? Do you sense the moment of this piece and that over 2000 years ago and probably His most non-gradifying moment in His life, knowing in a few moments he will be betrayed with a kiss by one of His own diciples. He was praying to the Almighty to take away what was about to happen but realized that it must take place in order for the things to come. This piece had to be as simple as I was inspired to play it with no great dramatics to it, just direct and to the point with a message of sadness and one of truth. :D

I am how ever working on additional pieces with a different kind of theme and at the moment am waiting for a few new software programs to get to my home through the mail. My problem right now is sound files to work with and the knowledge it reguires to work with them seem to come sloooowly!! :)

But get ready because when I get it all together I hope I'll be doing work as good as Kirk Bauer. All things come to those who work hard and trust in the Lord. Stay tuned and thanks! :D
  • Hey John I think your doing a fine job bro!! I mean hey you work hard at it you create & post tunes & work hard to improve 8) & I must say you have improved already from post to post!! As far as knowing the theme of this tune help me to feel it more or relate to it? Well maybe some BUT: I think I would have felt this had it just been called test or something because you felt it & it came from your heart. That is going to shine thru in the playing for sure!! As far as me being your biggest critic? & listener? WELL I made a committment a long time ago when I started posting & getting involved in the Music section of this site I would listen to every post & honestly comment on how I felt or of an Improvement or something I would be honest. I have done that look at some of the post in the music section, you will find I have reviewed every song period. My advice to you is if you want others to respect you take you seriously & review tunes give there best critics & feedback to make mix's & such better YOU need to review there stuff & participate & even in other sections John I'm not saying you have to live at this site BUT people should know you are part of the community & you actively post & interact & such. This will go a long way for getting other peoples thoughts & opinions other than mine that know a whole lot more about this stuff than me!! Anyhow just some thoughts I had. Thought I would share with you John. God Bless Bro!! Keep at it for His Glory!!
  • Thanks for the advice. I do appreciate it and I hope you didn't take me wrong. You are the only one giving me feedback except one other has post a I like it. I'm hoping to improve as I get inspired with other songs and get alot more loops and such. I do go to alot of other peoples songs and jams and have nearly listened to the entire list. There is a lot of talant out there for sure. I never was one for critiqueing others except for myself. Maybe because I just listen and then go practice. I like learning and I do that by listening. I listen to you as well and am working on a couple of tunes trying to mix it up a little. I'll let you know when I have them posted and you can let me know what you think. Thanks!
