midi-in timing gets off when using the expression pedal
This manifest itself in simple conditions like using midi metronome (in PTP) while recording: as long as you don't use the expression pedal, all is fine, but as soon as you do, the metronome's timing is completely off.
Same thing if you try to record from a midi keyboard while using the expression pedal (situation where 1 person plays the keyboard while another plays the guitar). That indicates that the problem doesn't come from the computer, but the gnx3k.
Did anyone experience this, and know a work-around solution that doesn't involve buying a separate midi interface?
For the metronome I can just use the audio metronome instead of the midi, but I'd be happier if I know that there is a solution to fix it instead of a work around.
Thanks,
Philippe.

as I was using Pro9 and now have upgraded to Sonar. But with all other versions of cakewalk that I have used you can put the metronome on a different midi channel and note as long as the keyboard is sending on a specific channel and not sending omni which will send to all midi channels.
Look in the PTP help files.
