Cabs!

I don't know why, but adding cabbinets to the amps, make them sound really bad. I'm not talking about a technical fail in my gnx3, but in every digitech product. Until last year I had a RP200, and i had the same problems with the cabs, i always going throw a direct option, because, in my opion, makes the gnx's sound goes down, anyone that thinks like I?

  • I know what your saying I've ran into it tiny thin sound just like to much highs at stage volumes? What I've done to help this is go through all the different cabs with your rig & yes at stage levels or at least close :D I don't know if your a MFX Supermodel user or not But I found the one cab that sounded the best with my gear, & save that cab So it shows up in the X Edit pull down menu Eric Live. I use this in both channels regardless of what the amp model is or patch for all live use this gives me consistency & the best overall responce for my Rig. try something like that & see what you come up with

thanks, i will try, but what i think isn't only that it has too much highs. It sounds like a really cheap prosessor, I mean.. i tried all the cabs with all the amps and noone is working well. The presets i download from the sound comunity doesn't sounds good until i take out the cab simulator.. really confused
  • Are you sure the Speaker Comp is turned on on the Back of the GNX? That can give you some pretty interesting sounds make sure that is pushed in for bothe the XLR & 1/4 inch & leave it that way!! The general concenses is this always stays on NEVER TURN OFF  Just a thought check it out.
