GNX4 preset Acoustic 51-amp channels

I have a GNX4 and modified the preset Acoustic 51 (using the User copy of that preset) so the two amp channels 1 and 2 had exactly the same settings: amps, cabinets, hi, mid, low, frequencies, effects, levels,...everything!

Nevertheless the 'red' amp channel (it's amp ch. 1 or 2 I don't remember but when you engage this amp channel using the foot pedal all the way to the left on the GNX4 the red lights light up) is MUCH louder than the green amp channel (the other amp channel). And the green amp channel seems to have a lot of chorus on it, while the red has none.

Can anyone tell me why this would happen? I'd like to have both channels identical in every way so if the channel gets switched accidentally the sound won't change.

Thanks!

  • Well, you could look at the settings in GenEdit/XEdit and make sure they're where you want. Otherwise, you could set your footswitches and/or expression pedal with parameters that don't include amp switching, and you'll have nothing to worry about. In fact, most of us (speaking for meself, that it) like have the ability to use two amps; you can even set them up with the same sound but different gains, for different kinds of passages, etc...experiment and use your imagination. For what it's worth - once you've had some success with tweeking your presets, it's unlikely you'll be using ANY of the factory stuff...it's too much fun making your own and/or mod'ing them to sound like you want them to.The GNX can do just about anything you ask it to!
