Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne patch close
Almost got the tone I actually use both bridge and neck P/Us and roll the tone all the way down to about three or four on the guitar and am using just distortion and reverb. Gonna play with some different cabinets and see what I settle on. How does is it sound to you guys? I think it has maybe too much treble atm but it might be hard to tell because of the terrible compression.

Which settings did you use ? On which version of GNX ? Could you upload your patch ?
I'm looking forward to reading your reply !

I live in an apt and I've been running the GNX into the effects loop of my Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410 and the other day I turned up as a test because I am supposed to play tomorrow night and everything sounds tinny. It might be the new strings too though I don't know I just put some DRs on and I'm going to have to go back to Boomers I think. I'm so bummed. I've got four or five patches that I really liked that don't work at gig level volume
Larry plays a 335 through a dumble most frequently
I used 57 Tweed Champ as the amp, 2101 Speaker Comp stompbox enabled with sparkle drive Very VERY light delay and reverb. Mono delay and plate reverb.
I have since wound up tweaking it for Room 335 lead sound, which is close but not quite there. I won't upload here yet, but here is a link if you want to down it and play around with it

That one is close at pretty high volume, but still lacks the velvety transition between warm mid and smooth but biting without being overpowering highs Larry gets. I think that comes from the presence so maybe I just don't have the right amp/cab yet. I was using one of the digitech cabs for a while then decided to play around some more.
