How would you drum this?

This is a riff from a high string skipping thing I used to do way back in 83. After this section I have an Am interlude which is VERY Spanish sounding. But I feel sort of stuck atm w/o being able to come up with anything good for the drum line. Any ideas from anyone? Will probably wind up doing it a bit faster I think.

I have no doubt that you'll get a different opinion from everyone who replies. That's the cool thing about music.
That really is the cool thing about music... There really is something for everyone so it only makes sense to do your own thing.
I'd really like to hear where you go with this tune. 8)
Yeah Ibanez owns. Mine is an S520EX. Although I'm leaning towards getting a JS1000/1200 myself. BUT THEY DON\"T COME IN BLACK!!!!
Theirs should be in by now I'll have to go down and look this weekend.
Either way, I'm a die-hard strat fanatic, so :P
AC is right Meathook this thing is something to behold in your hands!! 8) Don't trust pics I seen some good ones of it but when mine showed up & I opened the case I just kind of looked at it for a while with mouth hanging open just stunning in person
Oh and the message I just got from Billy Sheehan at Myspace!!! BILLY SHEEHAN!!! I'm gonna play all night now. I'm so jazzed I literally have a buzz...
I'm not going to just make a half assed stab at music this time around. I'm highly committed to making something happen. Teaching was great back when I was playing before, but the time off, and the age that's come with it have really helped me to focus. Teaching was really rewarding though and once I get my technique back up to speed and feel comfortable with my skill level, I'll definitely do that again too. But I want to start serious local play. Bar band, thrash band, coffee house classical I don't care as long as I don't have to punch a clock anymore lol
I just started playing again a month or so ago after a ten year lay off. I didn't realize how much I missed it. I practice harder now than I ever did, and I have more confidence too which is a great feeling.
I lost some cartilage in my left elbow, and tore the skin of the whole top tip of my left ring finger from the first knuckle a few years ago in an accident, and I don't even feel like that has slowed me down. The finger healed very well and everyone said it would be mangled looking forever. I was horrified when I saw my finger lol Even though I wasn't playing at the time that was my first thought of course. Oh no, what about guitar??? lol I guess you never really lose it. Nothin but bone sticking out of the top meh
I guess I haven't mastered macro mode yet... hehe
If you want to buy gear and blame others, go to www.gearpedia.net.
I remember seeing Billy Sheehan with Steve Vai on the David Lee Roth tour. Those guys were so good it was insane! 8)
When you finish it post it again, I love that kind of stuff.
I know the feeling, Me and my Dad were like that when our USA strat in SONIC BLUE arrived.
Great moment
Meathook,
I say get out there and play man, you obviously have some chops to so go for it 8)
