Floor pedal tube tone
Does anyone miss the RP series foor pedals that had an actual 12AX7 input tube?
I do because everyone has their pedals out with modeling, but without any real tube distortion. Vox and Korg just have a tube there to ad warmth. In my opinion the old RP-14d, RP-20, and RP-21 all were superior in tone and behavior. I wish Digitech would seriously consider ganging their new improved processing up with the type of input tube modeling Johnson had in their amps, all in a floor pedal like the older ones.
That would make Korg, Vox, Line6, and whoever else's floor pedals seem like poor attempts at modeling.
I would like to think \"If you build a superior product, people will buy it.\" (Especially with good marketing strategies.)
