Hey, I'm no pro guitarist or anything but i just got this GNX for xmas and wanted to test out the recording so i recorded a song I wrote called Platanium, tell me what you think of it, as i said before, im not pro so be nice, tell me thing to practise and improve etc

Pretty cool Ste 8) I thought this rocked whole lot of changes & things going on there So how did you do your drums in this one? I think I heard some Metalica influences in this one? Early Stuff Master of Puppets? Anyhow pretty darn cool man

Yeah very much Metallica influenced =P I based it on Orion and if you have ever heard this song you would be able to tell by the main riff I love Orion and one day I thought i would make my own version of an instrumental based on it, so I did =P I wrote the drum beat on GP5 and exported it as midi then sent it through the drum machine for drums, as I'm not going to mic up my kit because the neighbours will complain =P already had a threat from the local council of a fine or removal of my drum kit. Hey bro don't be discouraged just keep on posting & reviewing others tunes & they'll give you listen feedback & sugestions My personnall goal is to listen to every tune that is posted in Music section & give my honest open feelings. Sometimes that's hard everyone is busy etc.. But like I said bro don't stop posting!! Post all the more One thing is for sure I will take the time to listen to your tunes sometimes manytimes over & give my honest feelings

I liked that fact for your first post that you were not afraid to use a lot of breaks. That was cool. Now work on some musical changes. It had pretty much the same da da da da da structure thru the whole thing. Some of the musicians that post on the forum here might not want to listen all the way through with out some more diversity in the song structure. Your recording sounded fine and you used good sounding guitar tones. Just keep at it and you will find out more and different ideas to use in your music. Keep posting and do not get discouraged. The people in this forum are not in any way musical snobs.

8) Thanks for postin! I think you have a great start... here are some things I do when writing a tune...just my lame 2 cents...just go back and edit any mistakes in the playing you might have made ...that will teach you alot about the software before your done ...then after you have the guitar part start adding layers of sound over it. Maybe some lead or some diffrent effects and rythms and before you know it you'll have a complex masterpeace. With the timing changes it should be really cool too.
