Jazz Funk 49 (By Tal)
My brother came down for the Thanksgiving holiday and we pretty much jammed non-stop..
One of the tunes we knocked the dust off of was the old James Gang tune \"Funk 49\". Always been one of my favorites.
(Joe Walsh was the guitarist for the James Gang before he became Joe Walsh)
So I worked up a jazz version incorporating the chord changes and twisted em' 9 ways to Sunday..
Done with 4 tracks only.
Track 1: Midi drums..(Courtesy GNX4)
Track 2: Ryhthm guitar
Track 3: Lead guitar
Track 4: Bass Guitar (Guitar to Bass Patch)..
All guitar parts performed on the ES175 running 12 guage flatwound strings...
Mixed with Sonar Home Studio LX...
The tune is at the link below..

File size is 3.36 Meg...
Hope you guys dig it...

Hey buddy
Glad to see you back. Hope all is well. It must have been great over the holiday.Must have been some wild jamming going on.
Sounded great as usual. I wish I could play stuff like that.
Great to hear from you again!

I really get off on hearing guitar that makes you think and I can appreciate you mentioning the chord changes are twisted 9 different ways although my feeble brain barely recognises 3!
Oh well, might as well go peel some more paint off the cave wall with my Recto......
