BBE Sonic Maximizer software or hardware?

Which would be better - the BBE Sonic Maximizer software plugin or the actual hardware? Or am I off track on this?

    Works the same as far as I can tell. I have both. The hardware version is useful for tracking from hardware non-pc-enabled preamps and running in a live setup. Software version is obviously better for anything in the software realm.

    Everyone has opinions. I've used the Software & is definetly Awsome 8) I also know those who have & use both & the swear by there Sonic Maximizer like they never turn it off or wonder why they even put an on function like it should be on all the time deal :D Some of them think the Hardware is better than the software? I personally cant speak from personall experience on the hardware end. But I don't think you can go wrong with either one :wink:

    The advantage of the software version is that you can use it for final mastering. With the hardware version, I think you'll be limited to whatever you can attach it to. Either way, both are a great investment. 8)
