Dragonforce essentially sounds like Iron Maiden crossed with the London Philaharmonic Orchestra on a serious overdose of speed with video game music undertones.

OK, I don't wanna dis Dream Threatre, 'cause I think they are very cool at times. Dream Theatre, to me, at times gets to be musical virtuosity for the sake of musical virtuosity. Dragonforce is much more just a ROCK band. They are kids playing incredibly well and having fun doing it. Also, I can't imagine that Dream Theatre would ever be a main stage band at Ozzfest, and Dragonforce was just that this year.
My first impression of Dragonforce was \"wow - this is like Iron Maiden but new.\" They are closer to Kamelot than they are to Dream Theatre, but they are not as orchestral. There are some .mp3s on their web page www.dragonforce.com.
My goodness  What a collection of vids I forgott about most of that stuff I checked those Dragonforce vids you had  I've never heard anything like that before very unique indeed
Do you or have you ever played with the JamesGang...or is that just a clever name for your sight :?:
When I tried to register \"james.com/.net/org\" several years ago none were available. So I opted for jamesgang. The .com version wasn't available, so I went with .net.
So no, I've never played with Joe Walsh's band \"The Jamesgang\", and yes, I suppose it could just be considered \"clever\", but truth is...it was simply what was available at the time.
I've never seen DF personally, but I know some people who are respectable musicians, that have seen them - if you're referring to the Hernan Li guitar antics, he pretty much does that as is, live. As far as recording techniques, he's not the only person in the world who does solos part by part.
got their album - man i cant listen to it all in one sitting - just relentless. and kinda reminds me of the chipmunks. really sounds like its sped up in parts.
