Black Magic Woman
Hey fellas,
Heres a little jam I just put together, it's not perfect and may be a little trebly.
Been very busy lately so I haven't been able to contribute as much as I would of liked.
Hope you like it.
Cheers 8)

I love Carlos. Sound was a bit on the treble side, but becuase you were not trying to play Carlos version, I thought it worked very well. Nice job

What I would like to know is if you used an audio backing track, midi files, or whatever, for the other instruments to put this song together. I am still learning how to do this stuff, and am looking for ways to improve my recordings. When I hear good tracks like you just offered, I wonder how you made it.
Also, our lead guitarist the other day told me he wanted to play a Santana song. We both thought, of course, \"Black Magic Woman.\" Having said that, most of the time we play it's just me on rhythm and him on the lead. So a quality backing track, if that is what you used, would get us up and running in no time. It sure would beat practicing to just the drum machine.
Gtaus:
I used a backing track from guitarbt.com, just added guitars.
The reason I didn't want to use an overdriven tone is because I mainly use distorted tones, so I felt like doing something different.
BT's are the best way to practice IMO 8)
God Bless Slash!!

That said, nice job, SNB99! I'd like to think your mix choices were aimed at melding the best aspects of the original version with Santana's modifications :^)

Rawfish, thanks m8. I actually never heard the Peter Green version, but I'm gonna check it out 8)
By the way enjoyed Slash-n-Burn's playing over the track.
One more payment to go on my GNX-3, come on Christmas.
