Bass effects on GNX4?
I've had my GNX4 unit for over two years using a six string bass. I'm very disappointed in the lack bass-specific effects such as bass synth, fretless, and dual compressor. Even the envelope filter for bass use is weak. When I turn the envelope blend parameter to 99 the effect output volume gets lower. I had to purchas a Digitech Bass Synth Wah pedal to compensate for that.
Another thing is that there's a huge difference between the bypassed sound and the clean (un-amped) direct sound that comes from the unit. There's way too much treble in it even with the EQ flat! I almost fried a tweeter! I know that you could use the amp and cabinet settings to compensate for that but why should someone have to go through that to get a clean unfiltered sound.
Is there a way that the BNX3 parameters could be merged with the GNX4?
