Hey everyone. I just joine the Forum, but have owned a GNX4 for about a year, still trying to learn my way around it. I just finished a simple recording of an origanal idea. My playing is kinda of rough, but I'm working on it. Looking for any suggestions regarding the mix. Recorded everything direct to GNX4 flash card, (Mic'd second guitar amp)and mixed down to stereo track in Pro Tracks. Any suggestions or constructive criticism on recording and guitar playing is appreciated.

Nice song!! It did not seem to rough to me. Your playing was good. Do you have words for this? Do you sing & put vocals to your tunes? Again seems like a real cool idea for a song 8) All by the way welcome to the board, I've had my GNX4 for about a year as well. I'm new to all this as well.

The first thing I would attack is the reverb on the drums.
Drop it back and tighten up the timiming on the rest of it and you are on your way

Thanks for the input. I'll work on the timing and clean up the drums. As for lyrics I do attempt to write them for most of my ideas, but haven't reached that point yet, If I can come up with something decent, I'll repost with lyrics, and new mix. Thanks again for your help.

Not too shabby for a first go at it..
And I can certainly sympathize with the long lay offs...
Like the overall tune. Drums could use a little work, but overall, pretty good stuff. 8)
